2009 Nike Award - Recipient to be announced at luncheon

Mrs. Philippa Webb, First Lady of Spring Arbor University - Keynote address

Mrs. Philippa Webb is the first lady of Spring Arbor University. Born in England, Philippa Webb moved to the United States in her youth. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English/speech with secondary teacher certification from Spring Arbor University, and a master’s degree in teaching and curriculum from Michigan State University. She now teaches courses in the CORE program at Spring Arbor University. 

 The Athena Award honors local individuals who assist women in achieving their full leadership potential.

Jackson BPW presents the Nike Award to a woman who exemplifies the qualities the Nike represents Progress, strength, freedom and triumphs while facing adversity.
